Settles Hill Banquets & Events is a family owned establishment. Salvatore and Erin, along with their children, siblings, family, and friends have created an environment to celebrate all styles of family and business events. They treat each client as if they are a family member ensuring that no detail goes unnoticed and every event is unique.

The DePasquale family, former owner of The Backgrounds Restaurant in Schenectady, NY, took over the facility and created Settles Hill Banquets & Events.

Years of restaurant experience proved to be invaluable as the DePasquale family began to update and renovate the facility nestled on these beautifully landscaped grounds. They expanded the menus, added wedding and shower amenities, and enhanced the venue by adding a pergola for onsite ceremonies surrounded by evergreens, hardwoods, and seasonal flowers. The expansive wraparound porch allows guests to sit and relax while enjoying the views of the naturally stocked pond and the occasional wildlife visitor.

For breathtaking and memorable pictures, the facility and property offers backdrops of the Heldeberg Mountains and is a perfect location for your outdoor wedding. We are conveniently located just minutes from Schenectady and Albany.

  • The main 4500 square foot ballroom can accommodate up to 300 people and is encased with elongated windows from ceiling to floor that allow natural sunlight to enhance the beauty of the maple hardwood floors.
  • A separate banquet room which accommodates gatherings of up to 75 people boasts a handsome, rustic bar and panoramic views.
  • A charming bridal suite is available for our bridal parties.
  • Our venue is all on one level which makes it handicapped accessible.
